And the survey
says!......
My job as your elected representative is
to do just that – represent you and your needs
and priorities. The first step in fulfilling my responsibility is to find
out what those needs and priorities are. The survey serves as one way to
hear from some of you that I do not have the opportunity to speak to
directly through other meetings and events.
As you can see, the results of the
survey had a direct impact on my plan and priorities for work in this year’s
session. I took the percentages under your #1 and #2 choices and added them
together to identify the issues that are most important to you.
While there were no real surprises in
the results, I am pleased to know that health care and related issues such
as tobacco use, stem cell research, and health insurance are the most
important concerns of my constituents. As I begin my duties as Chair of the
Health & Human Services Appropriations Sub-committee, the information you
provided through the survey gives me the confidence to boldly move ahead in
addressing these important issues.
I want to thank all of you that took
time to fill out the survey and hope that you will continue to share your
thoughts and ideas with me throughout the year.
